As News Editor, she managed the 96 Trent FM and Ram FM newsrooms, trained journalists to write, report and read the news, and acted as a consultant for other GWR newsrooms. She has also freelanced at Channel Five News, written for The Guardian, and has worked in written and broadcast media in Europe. Claire supported the Nottingham Trent University Broadcast Journalism course in its early years, selecting and training students in radio and online, and continues to assist as Guest News Editor. Claire now travels the country providing voice and media training to radio groups, unversities and colleges, a variety of other organisations and individuals. An Oxford graduate, she also has diplomas in broadcast journalism and business management. In 2000, Claire moved into online journalism, managing GWR websites across the East Midlands and South West regions. She has worked independently since 2005, and manages a series of websites including JournoJobs.com.
